Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered unacceptable in our community:
- Harassment:Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination
- Discrimination:Exclusionary jokes or language related to age,ability,ethnicity,gender,race,religion,or cognitive ability
- Personal Attacks:Violent threats or language directed against another person
- Inappropriate Content:Posting sexually explicit or violent material
- Privacy Violations:Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
- Disrespectful Comments: Insults or derogatory comments about cognitive abilities
- Unsolicited Advice: Medical advice or diagnosis without proper credentials
- Cheating: Using unauthorized assistance in games or puzzles
- Spamming: Excessive self-promotion or commercial content

As a platform focused on cognitive health, we have additional guidelines:
- Respect Cognitive Diversity: Everyone has different cognitive strengths and challenges
- Avoid Stigmatizing Language: Do not use terms like "senior moment" or "brain fog" disrespectfully
- No Medical Claims: Do not present Cognspark as a medical treatment or cure
- Progress Not Perfection: Focus on improvement rather than comparison
- Accessibility First: Support members who use accessibility features
- Patience with Repetition: Understand that some members may need concepts repeated
Enforcement Guidelines
Community leaders will follow these enforcement principles:
- Correction: Minor incidents will result in a private warning with opportunity to correct behavior
- Warning: Continued issues or moderate incidents will result in a formal warning
- Temporary Ban: Serious violations or repeated warnings may lead to a temporary suspension
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations or continued issues after a temporary ban will result in permanent removal
Confidentiality: All conduct reports and investigations are handled confidentially to protect all parties involved.
